As CD Projekt Red continues working on Cyberpunk 2, the company could have a spin-off title to tide over fans in the meantime. MP1st reports that a former WayForward employee's portfolio revealed information on a game project codenamed Gemini that relates to the Netflix series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The status of the Cyberpunk spin-off game at WayForward is unclear, though the report claims research and development was underway from 2025 into this year. Project Gemini was apparently planned to be "a rollback-driven" 2.5D beat-'em-up. Other details included by the former developer include "rollback-safe architecture" and "online transport integration," per MP1st–strongly implying online multiplayer as a feature.
