Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launched last week, and its first patch is taking aim at the many technical teething issues on PC. Poor optimization appears to be one of the major issues, as many users online have reported it being demanding on their systems despite having moderate PC requirements.
"We've been working on a number of fixes and improvements aimed at reducing performance issues, improving stability, and addressing some specific problems," Arc System Works wrote in an update. According to the patch notes, Arc has several fixes to help reduce overall CPU usage, improve frame rates, and address several bugs in the fighting game. Addressing the performance drops specifically, Arc noted that unnecessary checks could be the culprit, and one of the issues it identified was one where the game would unnecessarily check for available audio inputs.
